Damian Lillard Lands NBA 2K Cover

One month before Damian Lillard and the Blazers are scheduled to resume the 2020-21 NBA season, the five-time All-Star was named cover athlete for the 21st installment of 2KSports' NBA 2K franchise, NBA 2K21.

"Being on the cover of NBA2K21 s a dream come true," Lillard tweeted on Tuesday morning. "I've been playing 2K since the Dreamcast days! Hyped to be the NBA2K21 Current Gen Cover Athlete."

Lillard is the first-ever Blazers' player to appear on the cover (and the first to appear on the cover of any major NBA video game) and, unsurprisingly, the first-ever Weber State alum to appear on the cover of a major video game. The eighth-year point guard is also the third 2019-20 smALL-STAR to land an NBA 2K cover, joining LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Pre-orders for NBA 2K21 begin on July 2.
